Not seeing it.

He can shoot like a 3 but I'm not sure he could defend like one.

Kid is only 20. He is athletic and long enough. Why could he not develop his d more.

The writeup on him is that he's undersized for defending the 4 at the next level and too slow to defend the 3.

He can develop size. Speed? Not so much.

I think it is pretty obvious we don't want him for the 4 so that is not an issue.

I think Pelicansreport has brought it up a few times. Peja wasn't technically a terrible defender, he was only semi-awful because his length helped alter some shots. So, basically, any tall player can adequately defend SFs.
