Grand opening at the new Indian food place on George O'neal,,,,

where the Pizza Hut used to be. Saw the sign yesterday and was wondering if their exterior designer is the nasty people from South of Philly on Sherwood...The outside landscaping looks overgrown, as if it hasn't been touched in years.
Also, looks like the new kabob place that's opening in the old Abe's BBQ is putting some good effort into that renovation. Looks nice, and I'll try that place...Is the new smoke shop next door to it a head shop?
What's up with the Outback on Jones Creek? Their parking lot is turning into a Bayou Corne sinkhole, and their food is getting crappier & more expensive...Sad, cuz I used to like that place.
I can continue bitching about food places in that area. Just name one, and I'll bitch about it.

Jones Creek Cafe, I worked there once when it was at their old location (working there was a nightmare)... haven't stepped foot in that place since

Nice to get a few new places, Skillz .. Too bad I am moving next week ..
Outback is done .. It's gone to crap .. They let a really good GM go and replaced her with a clueless moron.

They had crawfish bisque for several weeks and it was delish. They no longer have it. Had some grilled oysters from there that were nasty tasting. Not even close to City Cafe's delish grilled oysters, which is only one of just a very few menu items worth eating at City Cafe.
I've always wondered why JCC & City Cafe don't put more effort into making better food.

That Outback needs to start over, but I guess it'll just shut down.

I expect that location to get shut down very soon .. The last prime rib I had there was leathery fricking garbage ..

I'm hopeful Kabob is going to be good! They have sunk a lot of money in fixing that place up. I have no clue how a restaurant doesn't survive at that location.

It's a tough in and out with very little parking .. There is also a smoke shop opening next to it .. If they are open late (like a lot of smoke shops are), that could cause some bad parking issues too ..

I just got a to go buffet from Al Noor...its been a long time since I've had Indian food but this stuff was really good. Not too many things on the buffet but what was there was very tasty and for 8 bucks for the lunch buffet you really couldn't beat it. there were two types of chicken dishes, chickpea curry, some rice and a few other items as well as dessert items. the curry has some kick to it as well.
*updating from the toilet...albeit good, this food has caused the fiery shits from hell

I'll stick with Curry n Kabab, this neighborhood is turning into East London with all the Indian cooking. No problem with that, love the cuisine.
