Ole Miss is the real deal. Maybe a few of u need to go back and watch some film.
Watch the A&M game, the LSU game or the 2nd half of the Gump game.
If u still arent convinced, watch their bowl game.
They will beat one of the big 3 next yr. Lets hope its not LSU.

Not sure why everyone assumes Ole Miss and LSU cant beat A&M... I doubt they will have as much success this year as they did last

People that are saying 9-3 will be mad if we go 10-2 or 11-1.
I just dont see 3 regular season losses. Lsu hasnt done that since 09. That was the worst offense in the miles era.
Just nit gonna happen.

I get so tired of hearing Detillier split off lime he is the messiah of scouting. He comes across as very arrogant. He really likes himself

I heard him say that LSU's offensive play calling and offensive philosophy will not change next year. I find this hard to believe considering the money we invested in a new OC. He lost credibility with me once I heard him say that.

Define "real deal" because they're not beating Bama, A&M, and LSU. So that's 3 losses automatically and no better than 4th in the West.

i think A&M losses 4 games this year, one of them will prob be Ole Miss...

Hugh Freeze has them on a roll, playing with confidence a coming off a great recruiting class...things are going well there...

A&M lost a ton of players...and I think alot of people now know a bit about what they have and how sumlin is....The DC's in the SEC dont get paid 1 mill + for nothing...they will have him figured out...

Ole Miss will win the games they should but paired up against the big boys in SEC will lose. I don't see the powerhouses overlooking Ole Miss this year.

it never ceases to amaze me how LSU fans, year after year, discount ole miss. yet they give us all we want almost every year. yes, we pull most of those games out of the hat but they are a much improved team now and has much better coaching. if our team doesn't realize this and approach that game with the right mentality ole miss will beat us this year. they ALWAYS approach the game with the right mentality. and i'm talking about the players but both our fans and players underestimate them.

When a magazine puts Ole Miss on the cover, that giant sucking sound you heard was their credibility going out the window.

I agree with this, but most fans get confused when discussing their chances against any one team, and their chances of winning anything significant over the course of a season.

Their ceiling has always been low since the 60's.

As far as LSU is concerned, what does Vegas have us on over and under? 9? 9.5? 10?

It wouldn't be difficult to find 3 losses in our schedule, even with giving us wins in some close ones. A list of possible losses might include:

TCU
Georgia
Florida
Ole Miss
Alabama
A&M

Who here can say it's not possible or even probable that we split these games?

Miles will likely blow one game he shouldn't and then we will lose to Bama. Two guaranteed losses. If the stars align or another clusterfrick occurs, you could be looking at 3. It could happen.

i agree, any anti-aTm talk is looked down upon for some reason, but with what they lost, combined with Johnny not being a suprise anymore, i say aTm is humbled somewhat this year, i'd say 9-3 for them

9-3 would be a good year with the schedule LSU has.

This. Lost alot of talent on D, new OC and Mett has yet to prove he can throw the deep ball consistently. Defense will not bail out the offense this year, so as the offense goes, so shall the Tigers this year. The SEC will be tough sleding this year and LSU gets to play, Bama (away), Georgia (away), Florida and A&M. Do I think LSU can beat these team, yes, but will they beat all four, probably not.

As I look at LSU's schedule, lack of proven experience on D, O, and special teams, and add in certain coaching quirks and intangibles, I may be leaning toward seeing a 9-3 prediction as being very optimistic. The schedule and quality of opponants is the biggest factor, IMO.

What does the Rant say to all that?

Our schedule we hard! And we lost so many underclassman! It's a media consipiracy! Everyone with a record better than 9-3 was just lucky! It's all luck. 9-3 is elite. Remember Curley Hallman! If you don't love 9-3, it means you want Hallman back. Yeah it does. Name another coach who could have gone 9-3 with this team and this mean old schedule! Name just one! (Except Saban, you can't name Saban, that's unfair, he's better than everyone and he can't be beat and he's in league with Lucifer!) This was the best coaching job in history for a team from Louisiana eight years removed from a tragic natural disaster, two years removed from being framed for a bar fight, and one removed from an exodus of underclassman! And we lost two of those games because the media hates us! And Saban cheats! Oh yeah, and Perrilloux, don't forget Perrilloux! If the staff hadn't demonstrated the moral courage to remove Perrilloux from the team, we'd probably would have gone undefeated in 2013.

[I think that sums it up.]

1. TCU
2. UAB
3. Kent St
4. Auburn
5. at Georgia
6. at State
7. Florida
8 at Ole Miss
9 Furman
10 at Bama
11. Texas Jr
12.Arky

8-4, 9-3, 10-2, 11-1, 12-0
Any of these are possible and realistic. If we lose 4 games that are close, due to inexperience on D, but our offense looks much improved, I am not going to complain. My prediction? 10-2. We will beat Bama this year but lose to someone we shouldnt, and lose to UGA on the road in a close one.

I wish !!! Miles is good for 2+ losses every year (except '11, and the one loss then was one of the worst coaching performances I have ever witnessed)

Nope. Miles will never run the table.....

Sad, but probably true. He's a pretty great recruiter, though. And he seems to be at LSU to stay. No pros and no colleges seem to want to give him a shot. Plus he wins enough games every year for LSU to keep upping his contract.
