Y Doesn't Big Time Concerts Come to Baton Rouge?

Can someone in the know help me out? Yea, we get a couple here and there and Bayou Pop Fest. In The 70's, 80's and maybe 90's we had all the big acts. The greater BR population is probably larger than New Orleans. Hell, Lafayette gets more than BR.

I did see J. Geils and The Police at the Centroplex after that fiasco but the security was really heavy handed for J. Geils and Peter Wolf flirted with starting a riot over it. I don't remember any real name concerts there after The Police. It was a couple of years after Ossie Brown banned Life of Brian and I want to say he was a part of shutting down the concerts. Baton Rouge sure elected some awesome DA's.

I remember someone on here saying that Pink Floyd played at the PMAC back in the day. God, that would have been amazing.
