can we try and keep the gumpness on the SEC board?

It's why we should cherry pick their best school or two and start getting that talent to the SEC. The East coast up to DC needs to belong to the SEC.
SEC schools are already cherry picking quite a bit of that talent. I'm good with the current schools we got.

Not many northern schools are able to recruit well in the south (ND is probably the exception recently).
Ohio State recruits the south a lot better than Notre Dame.

Who are the top players from the south that OSU has? I'm sure Meyer is going to recruit the south better than Tressel did.
I know that a lot of ND's defense is from the south and they got a lot more from the south in this year's recruiting cycle, particularly their RBs.

You ask this question like all teams in the SEC are equal. Let's see...
Is the gap between Ole Miss and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between Vanderbilt and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between Kentucky and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between Auburn and the rest of the country widening? Hellz no.
Is the gap between Texas A&M and the rest of the country widening? A&M is getting better it seems, but in their first year in the SEC they held their own. So does that mean the A&M was better than people gave them credit for, or that the SEC isn't as difficult as most make it out to be?
Is the gap between Alabama and the rest of the country widening? Yes.
Is the gap between Miss State and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between Missouri and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between LSU and the rest of the country widening? Maybe.
Is the gap between Arkansas and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between Florida and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between South Carolina and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between Georgia and the rest of the country widening? No.
Is the gap between Tennessee and the rest of the country widening? No.
So overall.... no.

Ole Miss just had the 7th best recruiting class in the nation, no one from the Pac-12, Big 12, or ACC did better.

Auburn just had the 8th best recruiting class in the nation, no one from the Pac-12, Big 12, or ACC did better.

Florida just had the 4th best recruiting class in the nation, no one from the Pac-12, Big 12, or ACC did better.
Alabama, LSU, UGA, & Texas A&M joined the three mentioned in the top 12.
Of the top 29 classes 13 were from the SEC, only Mizzouri didn't make the cut.
