Ivan is a decent lake that alot of us in NWLA don't fish. It's only about 30 country road minutes north of me. I don't 'yak but I bet Badcau up there would be nasty. If you know where Sally Bakers grave is,put in near that site and float south toward Dorcheat. Throw a 1/8oz white spinnerbait
Good luck!

Thanks. I've only been to Ivan once and couldn't launch due to time constraints, but if I ever make it to bodcau I'll take your note

My whole family, cousins and all, were born and raised in Sarepta. They do pretty good on lake Ivan, and kill the perch on bodcau. From what I remember there are a shite ton of stumps out there so don't go haulin arse in boat if you don't know the lake very well.

If I were you I would try to paddle out into the middle of a bunch of stumps where boats can't get to and take advantage of being able to fish an area that most can't fish. I'm not sure how long of a paddle that would be though

LOL! Never imagined I'd read someone referencing Sally Baker's grave on TD!
