Windham is the old Bushmaster. After selling Bushmaster to Remington the owner (after a no- compete clause) started this company building AR's . Anybody have any experience with them, comments good or bad??

They are good for the price.

You get what you pay for though.

I also have a Windham SRC and I like mine. Shoots great and seems well built.

Windham is good stuff. They aren't the top of the line, match-grade firearms maker, but they're still good rifles.

AR15 owners can be snobs sometimes. "This is better, that one's better." Just go feel them all and take your pick.

Truth.

If you are only going to shoot this rifle 20rds a month or every 6 months, then there is no need to buy a KAC, Noveske, Larue, etc.

Rock River also split off from them granted it was pre Remington buy out. The only thing that should really concern you is that the rifle is made out of T6 Aircraft grade Aluminum. If you keep it clean and oiled it will the unit will outlast you and your kids

In my opinion the three best rifles in the "mid range" pricing are Colt, Sig Sauer, and Windham.
I ended up with the Sig M400, but consider those about equals.
