so is it asking if i had a company credit card?
why would it add so much to my return if i said yes?
i paid everything out of pocket and then my company reimbursed me on a seperate expense report for all meals and miles, etc

No.

But TurboTax is so easy to use. Why would anyone need a CPA?
If you answered yes, then TurboTax treats your meals and entertainment expensess as having been reimbursed, and you are not entitled to a deduction for them. The form you are completing, Form 2106, determines your deduction for unreimbursed employee business expenses.

Just claim your full per diem rate and ignore that your employer reimbursed anything. What could go wrong?
