The Office has better highs and worse lows.

Parks and Rec s more consistent all the way through.

Parks and Rec also has stronger characters all the way through.

But the Office has Creed.

To each his own, but both are quite good.

Wife and I are huge Office fans and tried several episodes. We just didn't find it funny and couldn't get into it. Didn't find any of the characters interesting, either. And I happen to think Rashida Jones is hot.

I was in the same boat. You have to force season 1 down. Starting at season 2, show is hilarious. Just make it through season 1.

I've tried to watch a couple of the current shows here and there. Just seems to strain too much for its jokes and suffers from trying to be a little too hip. YMMV.

I hated Parks and Rec when I first tried it. Got convinced to make it through season 1. Love it now.

I really don't watch any new TV shows. No digital cable kind of limits what I can see.

Kind of in the same boat. Haven't found a true replacement for The Office. Recently finished Everybody Loves Raymond. Quality writing. And I've enjoyed what I've watched of Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad at this point. But haven't gotten into a whole lot else.

Hoping Netflix picks up King of Queens soon.

Both shows have had good and bad seasons. The Office has definitely gone down hill, but is still pretty funny for the most part. Parks and Rec was pretty shitty for the first season, but since then it has been money. The character dynamics have been developed pretty well. Overall I'll give the nod to The Office, but it's getting closer.

I agree with what pretty much everyone is saying. Definitely give it a try, and don't give up if/when the first season doesn't hook you. The second season on is where it's at. I still watch both shows, but I find that I look forward to Parks and Rec more.

AT this point, very much so. I am a HUGE fan of the office(I have 2 labs named dwight and Jim), but now P&R is better.

andy is my favorite part of the show

The Secondary characters on parks are definitely much better than the ones on the Office.

Office in its prime is the best comedy I've ever seen. Parks is a really good show that is better than the Office now but not even close to Office from 2005-2009.

Stanly Kevin creed are all gold characters its just a different style of humor Everyone is looking at this with the blinders on of how shitty the office has become. First 5 or so seasons makes it the greatest comedy along with arrested development.

Parks is great I love it but one notch below the office in its prime
