I graduated in '90 and I remember playing a pick up game with Stanley in the old field house (not to be confused with the old old field house).

Congrats to him.

I had African-American History with Stanley my last semester at LSU. On the day of the final, he walked in, gave Prof. Allen some dap and walked out. That was the most ballin' shite ever.

SR had some good stories on mosconas show recenly about the first practice in the Dungeon when Shaq showed up.. one would back the other down and dunk, the other would do the same, and it got really heated
said people from everywhere ran over to see it when they heard about what was going on

Shaq talked about this in his book, sounded epic

glad for him, think he is a good dude.
Never could quite understand how when we had him, Shaq and Chris on the court at the same time and we didn't even when the conference.

Because they looked bored out there on the court. I remember seeing them play Ga. up here in Athens and they just looked like they were going thru the motions. Flat as hell that day. I love Dale Brown and all that he does for LSU. However, when we needed the coach the most in tight games he fell a little short in the tough games. Not saying he was a bad coach....just that he couldnt get over the hump.

I remember Bobby Knight calling Daddy Dale out on it at the time....I've never seen a team with so much talent do so little

I thought he was a better player than shaq. Better moves, better shot. He just got fat and lazy.

And Shaq was the most athletic, Strongest, and most intimidating force the NBA has ever seen. SR could have been great. He could have been an NBA all Star. But, he was never going to be Shaq good.

That is cool. I remember going to watch Stanley when he was playing for Lower Richland High School in Columbia. He was a man among boys way back then. Glad to see him still moving forward.

I took wintersession Sports Marketing with him last year. The dude missed like every class . I think Karam liked him though and that's all that really mattered in that class.
