After more consideration, why don't you buy him passes or coupons to some really nice courses around. You can get some really nice sets for RTJ courses on the Gulf Coast...he would love it

See I thought about that too.

But I think you want to give him something non-perishable in this situation. He's hitting a milestone isn't he? Golf coupons would be for like a promotion or something IMHO
