I liked the recent Michael Mann remake. That's right, I said it.
I actually liked it too. I just couldn't figure out what was up with the Collin Farrell(sp) mullet/mustache combo.
Phil Collins' soundtrack is always badass.

I liked it, but god it can get corny quick.

I liked Dennis Frans (sp?). Loved his "don't take any shite" attitude.
Dennis Farina played the mob boss Lombard in Miami Vice Those first couple of seasons were the best...

Yes, but when you compare it to what is on tv today, it was rather genius.

Crockett and Tubbs , easily the coolest cop duo ever.

As a kid I wasn't allowed to stay up that late, but I usually was able to stretch it out through the boob-bouncing part of the opening credits.
And, yes, I liked the movie too. It's Heat-lite, which still makes it an awesome movie.

same here. But Michael Mann also produced the TV show and that's why the music is almost like a character in the show and his movies. I'm not sure any TV shows could use music like Miami Vice did.

The only other cop show I think that was pretty cool was New York Undercover but it still didn't have the impact and style of Miami Vice.
