I was very impressed with this game. If we could shoot we would be tough for any team to beat. We dominated tonight's game. Just didn't shoot well

Gonna be tough in Rupp. However, Hickey, JOB, and Shug Coleman can hang with those guys.

major props to johnny. I wasn't thrilled with how the search and all went down but since then I can do nothing but praise johnny. His work on the recruiting trail has been great and his style has the team playing exciting and good basketball

FTR, what anti JJ abbreviation did the Rant agree upon for Coach Jones? Was it JMFJ or JBB?

This team will compete. We will be in every game. The team shot 39% from the field, 20% from three and won! CJJ has an exciting brand of BBall and he makes great adjustments.

Boat you questioned in an earlier thread what would get the Daddy Dale crowd back and I was at LSU from fall of 1979 till I graduated in 1983 so I witnessed many of the great Dale Brown teams including camping out on the PMAC ramps waiting in line to get into the KY game my sophomore year. Anyway, a game like tonight is the answer and certainly should fire up the fan base. Dont remember too many times lately being down the way we were and coming back to win.

The Johnny Jones hire may have been a little bit of a letdown. But you can tell he's putting his heart and soul into the job and the players are buying in to his system.

The program could become pretty special in a couple of seasons.

I was okay with the hire, but he wasn't my first choice. And yet, it's apparent already, even in this hire's infancy, that there wasn't a better viable to LSU hire that could be made than JJ..by far the best call LSU could reasonably land.

JJ's homecoming has elevated and energized him, he's bringing his skills and talents to his career pinnacle..it's gonna be a fun ride and climb back to legit sustained program status.
