Where is the Cannon kid?

Is he interested? I thought he was going to be one of what I call the traditional Texas kids-the ones that list UT, A&M, OU OSU, TCU, etc.

I don't think he made it to the camp, did he? (In their "The Eyes" report from six days ago, Hookem says he didn't make it).

Hootie, Paris and maybe even Brown are all safeties.

brown is probably the purest cb of them all. Hootie and Paris both have said they'd like to play cb in college.

I think both play safety though.

I think Paris can play CB in college, Hootie looks to be a little too big already to play CB. Either way, you take them and see where they fit best once they get here

Was talking about the LSR list in general with Cannon. Didn't hit the link to look at the list(seen it before but some of these kids are just now getting into my memory bank). Didn't camp as far as I know and doubt we are a viable threat.

Agree about the 3 of Paris, Jones and Brown being likely S but all 3 have expressed the desire to play CB. All have the capability of playing CB as well. Just don't think Paris and Jones do. I do think Brown is a CB unless we miss on one of the other 2. Also don't see all of this year's kids staying at CB. White and Jefferson, yes. Brazil, no and Robinson, possibly no. Some feel he may fit better at S as well down the line. I've always felt Dwayne Thomas has a better future as a S but he might be too important at CB at least the 1st couple of years.

So maybe it's not about playing for UT after all. Maybe what all the TX prospects really want is to beat TAMU. If so LSU is in for a fun ride.

interesting take

It's a long time until signing day 2014, but Nick Harvey committed to A&M this morning.

That's interesting. Good pick up for the ags though.

i guess all the texas kids heard what Torshiro Davis said about the LSU divide and wanted to bring about 10 of their friends with them so they had someone to talk to in the locker room.

hopefully he visits College Station often between now and 2014. That can only help LSU's chances.

Paris is going to LSU, but you guys have a fight on your hands for Tony Brown. If his sister commits to the A&M track program, I feel pretty good about A&M's chances.

Also, how much of a lock is Quinn? He has some great things to say about the A&M offense. 2013 isn't even over yet, and the commits are increasing rapidly for 2014.

Very much looking forward to our game next year at LSU

I'm close with the principal at Quinn's school and she says dad and grandad like the A&M offense. I'm from Lake Charles and the city is very highly pro-LSU, but anything can happen. Janzen Jackson came from Quinn's school and he committed to Tenn.

According to everyone inside the program, he probably ends up at LSU but A&M is VERY much in play.
