I only consider there to be 4 truly great trilogies. The Godfather, original Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Back to the Future.

Obviously kidding. I really don't know if any of the comic book trilogies has a chance to be truly great.
The Hobbit might have a chance, but we don't know yet.
ETA Also, you could add Toy Story to that list.

The fourth wqe a good movie as well. The problem is we as fans know that if all that werengoing on jason would have been right in the middle of it and he was nowhere around

As everyone else except for a few have said, "Yes."
I would add they are much better without commercials. Watching them on TV sucks because they are pretty fast paced and suspenseful.
To me the first one is the best because you learn more about the characters in it. The second and third one are good too. They are "fun" movies.
Similar pace to Spy Game.
