Popeye's outside of Louisiana is awful IMO. When I go back home, however, I ALWAYS stop in to get some!
My uncle moved from Louisiana to Dallas and when he comes back in town the first places we go are Picadilly's and Popeye's

Popeye's Spicy?
I guess - my gut is 65 years old and handles it fine - no problems at all. Maybe its the mexican I eat or the tobasco or jalapinos or black pepper or whatever. Maybe my stomach sees Popeyes as a mild flavored treat.
Could be beer has formed a protective coating that protects from any external irritation.

i guess...i normally eat pretty healthy so i think maybe i'm just not used to it.
