Anyone else having their draft tonight? This board is overrun with football threads, was hoping my fellow FBB nerds could come drop some knowledge.

Guys that I like to out-perform their ranking:
Conley, Monroe, Bosh, Gallinari, Unibrow, Holiday, Matthews, Bogut, Varejao, Faried, JR Smith, Lillard, Asik, Pekovic.

Other things I'm interested in:
-Serge Ibaka breakout year. Should see an increase in minutes so those raw numbers should go up. Might be dropping the occasional 3 pointer all of a sudden too? But where do you take him in comparison to Bynum, Pau, Cousins, etc?

-Philly's wings. Who out of Turner, JRich, Wright, and Nick Young is fantasy relevant? Turner is going the highest but I don't think he's a lock to keep his starting job. Dorell Wright has the most upside here IMO.

-Amare, Griffin, Nene. Lots of upside here or stay away? 3 guys that were elite two years ago but tanked last year.

He's hit 4 in the last 4 games..didn't take a shot from 3 last night. Will be interesting to see if it's just preseason "fun" or if he actually developed long range touch.

In a redraft, I'd take him behind Bynum and Cousins and over Pau.

I hate Turner. Wouldn't touch him based on where he's being drafted. JRich and Wright are the two value plays.

I'd stay away from all 3 based on ADP. Maybe Nene late, but that's an extremely crowded frontcourt.

Paul George makes his way into the top 15 this year, IMO

Conley and Monroe were top 25 players last season. Both could propel into the top 15 this season if:

Conley stops shooting so much. His FG% is killer. But he could end up being elite in steals, assists, FT%, 3PM if he "takes the next step". Also rebounds well for a PG.

Monroe could be the Pau Gasol on this decade if he can block a full shot, shot and a half.

Galinari, Bosh, Holiday, Matthews are going to trend downwards IMO.

Unibrow, Faried, Asik, Pekovic are trending upward.

Bogut and Varejao will be who they always are.

JR Smith is meh.

Will he get a chance to score (or step out beyond the arc?) with Durant, Westbrook, and Harden shooting the ball? Probably not. His rebounds should increase by default if he plays more minutes. Maybe he becomes a 2 stat guy this year. He is no doubt a dominant shot blocker and plays his role well with the Thunder, but if doesn't bring down double digit boards he will secure his spot as most overrated fantasy player 2 years running. I wouldn't take him over Pau, Cousins, or Bynum in a regular league, but over Pau in a keeper probably.

Don't really like any of them, but Turner had some big games last year when he got a chance.

Griffin is interesting, but his FT% is killer.

As to other sleepers,

Guys like Klay Thompson, Dragic and Ilyasova will take huge jumps in their rankings from last season.

Grevis Vazquez
Robin Lopez

Some other guys that have looked awesome so far in the preseason:

Eric Bledsoe
JJ Reddick
Jason Richardson
Kemba Walker
Deandre Jordan
Carlos Boozer
Markieff Morris
Damian Lillard
Jonas Valuncianes
Jae Crowder

All could easily outperform their ADP

Gallo- Post-injury numbers killed him and he still finished 51st in standard leagues and has an ADP of 60.

Bosh- Not as high on him as the others but like his rebounding numbers to go up as he plays more center.

Holiday- Lou Will and Iguodala departing puts the ball back in his hands more so his raw numbers should go back up to 10-11 levels. If the FG% goes up he's a top 40 guy who you can get in the 60's.

Matthews- Ranked 47th last year despite FG% bottoming out at 41%. Should see that equal out this year and will make his 70 ADP look crazy.

Agree with all these. Dragic's ADP is only 2 spots lower than Conley, that's why I didn't include him.

Love Vasquez. George Hill is another late round PG who is going to out-perform his ranking IMO, his numbers as a starter were very good, just isn't going to give you the assists. Good call on Booker, Parsons, and Johnson as well.

On Cleveland, would you rather own Gee or Miles?

Solid list. Did not realize Valanciunas was going so late, everyone should target him. Minutes are going to determine how valuable Bledsoe, JRich, Morris, and Crowder are but I like them all. Boozer (and Elton Brand) seems to go under-drafted in my leagues every year expecting a drop off and it never happens.

Definitely aiming to snag Crowder in the last round while Dirk is out. Who else is out there that can take advantage of early injury situations? Hawes, Ridnour, Hinrich should see lots of minutes.

Had 1st draft only 10 teams, one guy bailed last minute and another dropped out since he wasn't really into it and to make an even number.

Kyrie
George
Lowry
Lillard
Isaiah Thomas
Gallinari
Kirilenko
Josh Smith
Ibaka
Horford
Bogut
Faried
Pekovic
