Spinoff from the Savings account thread-Interest rate related

When do you guys see the interest rates on savings accounts going back up?

I know once the prime rate starts rising again so will rates and that it's based off the 10 year treasury yield.

Depends on whether or not Barry gets re-elected. If Romney wins, maybe the economy will improve in 2-3 years; if Barry wins, add at least 4 years to that.

Fed has frozen rates until 2014.

You can get a 10-year for around 1.6 %.
