Transfer list for college basketball. Trent Johnson has not been shy about going after these players. However, I don't think we will be in on any this year.

On another note, Jeff Goodman of cbssports.com is working on his annual transfer list, which is usually the most comprehensive around. He says it could have 500+ players -- the most ever. That's crazy.

The basketball transfer rules are terrible IMO.

it's amazing how many transfers have gone in and out of iowa state over the last few years.

How are the rules different than Football?

That is a ridiculously long list already and if the +500 is true that means over 1 guy per D1 team is transferring. Does the NCAA not think that is an issue?

Another 7 foot center transferring from ISU. We should start a pipeline there

The rules are the same as football.

I'm not sure what can be done. Players leave for various reasons, but many are forced out by coaches. Lots of fault on both sides.

I think a Graduate transfer big man would be a great pick up for us, if there is a quality one available.

The SEC does not allow graduate transfers. I did not know this until recently.

I know there is the Masoli rule, but I thought that they could still transfer if they were in good standing with their former team. I didn't think they were outlawed completely. Oh well, that would have been an ideal situation to open up a scholly right away.

Doesn't it hurt the schools If too many players leave early or transfer or don't graduate or something?

Whats about going after Glen Rice Jr, he's a Sr and wouldn't hurt recruiting and he wouldn't take up a spot.

i didnt know that, figured if the other conferences allowed it so would the sec but i guess i should've known better.

swopshire from louisville is by no means a banger but he'd be a nice guy to have for a season on a team you're hoping can get into the tournament.

Was LSU on Trey Zeiglar's final list before he picked his dad's school?

If somebody can get through to Justin Coleman (Marshall), that would be a major score for whoever got him. Too big of a risk though, unfortunately.
