Don't know if this trailer has been posted, but it looks like the show had a big effects budget: LINK

Will we ever see this? Last, I heard was webseries, and that is what the article says. Adama looks a little young to me based on the trailer.

I guess in a technical / canonical sense it is still Battlestar Galactica because that is what the previous two shows were titled, but I am guessing the Galactica won't be in this series, is that right?

Well, that show has never aired. So, I can't attest to its appeal. However, the series that this prequel is based off of is pretty awesome. Sex, robots, sex with robots, spaceships, apocalypse, great characters, drama, etc., made BSG appealing.

I read they didn't build many practical sets for this. Most of the sets are CG (and it shows).

SciFi Channel (it will never be "SyFy" to me) can't seem to stop trying to capitalize on its popular shows (see the Stargate spinoffs). Hopefully, this is better than Caprica.

really? because low-budget scifi space soap operas don't appeal to me? that's quite a stretch

Ya, looks "faker" than BG with the CGI sets.

And does every trailer have to have a remix of Led Zep in it now or what?

Did Caprica suck? I saw it on Netflix and was trying to decide whether I should watch it.

Looks slightly cheesy, but lots of fun. Seems to be a different tone from BSG.

Caprica was good, if you REALLY like BSG. I enjoyed it......but....

What they did in those first two seasons should have been done in one. The epilogue at the end of Season should have been Season 2, that was the big problem.

The epilogue was worth the rest of the show, honestly. It was the good. But also that sad, because we would never get to see it.

By trying to distance themselves too much from BSG to expand their fanbase, they got too far away from BSG for two full seasons. That sucked.

I might have to give it a go then.

Also, I'm guessing Blood and Chrome would/ will/ does have such a different feel because it isn't apocalyptic, which I'm not sure I will like s much. One of the best parts of BSG was the looming despair.
