Do any of you cook the same thing for dinner every Halloween?

My wife has had chili every year since she was little. I like it, but looking for some new ideas.
Maybe I'll do some hotdogs too.
Do you guys have any suggestions?

I didn't know Halloween was a big cooking holiday like Christmas or thanksgiving but hey why not?

Hot dogs (Halloweenies!) every year with different apps (always spooky -- this year is bloodshot deviled eggs and a homemade pimento cheese pumpkin) and cemetery cake for dessert.

Oddly, that seems to be the defacto Halloween dish.

Comforting to know that I don't ask for food advice from a bunch of health nutts here.

This thread has convinced me to make a big pot of chilli this weekend though

no. we throw a big halloween party every year but the menu changes year to year. the only constant is lots of alcohol. we try to make the menu fall themed--lots of squash and pumpkin based dishes--but we've tried new recipes each year.

having a party this year, debating if I want to cook a chili or just call matherne's and grabbing some trays of food

cemetery cake
What does this consist of?

It's just a cake (Halloween funfetti inside with chocolate icing) decorated to look like a graveyard. Oreo crumb graves, milano cookie tombstones, etc.
Been doing it with my son for about 10 years. First year that the little one is joining in.

I always cook something that I don't have to pay attention to, open a good bottle of wine and hand out candy. But I'm in the minority because most parents around me put a bowl on the front porch and walk or ride golf carts around the neighborhood and get hammered.

Same here, chilli and cheese dogs.
