How does the NFL decide which playoff games are played on Saturday and which are played on Sunday. Im hoping if the Saints do play in the wild card round they play on Sunday due the fact i will be in an airport all day saturday. Is it randomly decided my NFL executives are is it determined based on teams seeds?

For what it's worth, @SI_PeterKing believes #Saints will be the early Saturday game against the NFC West winner next week.

I tried to figure it out last year but there's no real pattern. I think it's up to the TV networks to decide.

i could see that. probably the least exciting game, only due to the west sucking so much

NBC has an AFC and an NFC game on Saturday.
Fox (NFC) has early game on Sunday and CBS (AFC) has 3:00 game.

If the Saints play Seattle, it will the early
game on Sat. If St. Louis, its the early game
on Sun. The only thing would be that Seattle will play late Sun nite and turn around and play early Sat. But they are at home so screw them.
They should not be hosting anyway. Reseed after the playoffs.
