That's not a very Christian movie.

I'll pass. It's high time they come up with a new horror franchise to run into the ground.

Went see it today. Easily the most gory film in the series. Although the ending is extremely predictable and obvious, it ties up the series nicely. I don't think it would make a difference if you saw it in 2-D or 3-D, as there was really no noteworthy 3-D effects.

I do truly think this could have been a great 2 or 3 film series, had it been planned that way. What ruined it was the twenty million subplots that were intertwined to lengthen out the series to 7 movies.

Once I saw that Cary Elwes was in this one I lost interest. Since he is back I can pretty much guess the ending without even seeing it. If it ends the way I think it does It will prove that the last 3 films have just been a cash grab and not really building up to any other conclusion but what is obvious with his character. It's almost like they read message boards and let the fans write the script.

I also saw it today. It was ok. I was pissed that the "movie theater" scene in the trailer was not actually in the movie.

If anything, the exact opposite is true. In stretching this story out to 7 films, the story became too elaborate. Viewer interpretation was completely removed with multiple flashbacks in every sequel. A more compelling story could have been told in 2 or 3 films, removing most of the crap, and coming to a end similar to what occurred at the end of 7. However, you can make more money with 7 films as opposed to 2 or 3, so we were stuck with a strung-out story.
