Crowton vs Auburn's OC

Yesterday's game highlighted how bad our OC is.
On Auburn's side:
* OC is on the field, directly involved in play calling.
* OC has play book memorized.
* Several assistant coaches are clearly visible on sidelines assisting in getting play calls in.
* They even had a play call board to assist in getting the right call in.
* Auburn never had a delay on offense, and many times seemed to have several play calls available.
LSU's offense:
* Has Crowton up in a booth with play books stretched out in front of him. Apparently he doesn't even know his own play-book.
* Several assistants can be seen up in the booth with Crowton, apparently making sure he doesn't get lonely.
* LSU runs game clocks down to zero and beyond (first TD) on a regular basis for no good reason.
* LSU shows mass confusion on plays, sometimes even coming out of timeouts.
Bottom Line: Auburn scores 24 points on one of the nation's best defenses. LSU scores 17 point against one of the nation's worst.
I am not even getting into our crappy no back formation that Crowton insists on vs Auburns and the complete lack of downfield bombs vs Auburn's deceptive handoffs.

All the more reason to not take too long. Plus, the TD play was after they spiked the ball, and they have trouble "reading" the play clock in every stadium.

guys. chill out. it's easier to frick up clock management and personnel groupings from the quiet confines of a press box than on the sidelines.

We seem to send our play book to the teams we play before the game even starts. The other teams know that we will basically pass when lee is in the game.. thus they send a pass rush. When jefferson is in they know we will run the ball...so the other team shifts thier defence to the quarter back in the game.
While we say crowten has to many fancy plays it seems just the opposite in the game. There is no half time ajustment on either defence or offence. We have out recruited all most every team we play so it comes down to do we develope the players or are we getting 3 tackles and no linebackers , but one thing is for sure somethings wrong in tiger town

BS!!! That's just an excuse. LSU has been doing what the original poster has stated for the last 3 years. Yesterday was just another of the endless examples of it. One game would be one thing but 3 years of the same mindless & illogical crap?? What offense have you been watching?
Miles & Crowton have to go

I agree with all that...however, the play clocks in Jordon-Haire are a joke...their position needs to be governed by league rules.

We didn't take timeouts as the play clock was running down because we got plays in late. We took timeouts because the defense was showing different looks and calling good aubibles, or at least showing like they were.

"Radiio" could game plan better than Gary, I wish that retard would take his dimensionless dual "threat"qb system somewhere that gives a SHITE! we are given no chance to stay ahead of down & distance, and if we did have a 2&3 or 3&2 with the safeties playing 6 yards from scrimmage, he not dial up some sort of play action and have an easy down field completion to one of big receivers. G.C. is a disgrace to LSU football!
