Why in the world do you blitz your best cover man and leave a midget(#15 Taylor) to get beat on a long TD play?

At least Chavis was blitzing.

No idea. Several people have commented on this. This bothers me a lot. Peterson is fast, but it seems to be a bad percentage call if the blitz doesn't work.

That midget is 6 ft tall. Not great in coverage however.

Why was it a great idea, or are you being sarcastic?

It is good to blitz your best athlete on occasion to show different looks and because of the effectiveness.

In order for a defensive player to win the Heisman, he needs to lead the NCAA in sacks, return yards and interceptions! Get on board the PP for Heisman express or STFU!

Corner blitzes are great. I love the call. Pick your spots and who better than peterson to do it? Do you not remember Saban using this tactic?

I'm okay with him blitzing every now and then but we need to blitz with outside linebackers and safeties most of the time. I can't wait to see Minter, Baker, and Loston on blitzes, hopefully.

On the safety, PP was blitzing, thats why yates never saw the ball coming b/c PP walked up to the line near the DE. It just gives a different look. Sometimes it works (Safety) and sometimes it doesn't (B Taylor getting beat)

It's always a calculated risk to do a CB blitz. But I liked it, and I liked PP doing it. His speed and size makes him a real threat to get to the QB.

I think there must have been a couple plays where he blitzed. I don't remember what happened during the one where Yates threw a TD. There was another one though, and PP got around the lineman and about to take a bead on the QB when the lineman he beat pushed him in the back and made him overshoot. I kinda thought that should've been a penalty against NC.

Also, Mathieu had that good corner blitz at the end of the game where he caused the fumble.

I thought people wanted to see more blitzing? Now they are complaining when we send good players in to blitz.
