Its been years since I have been there, so hopefully these places are still open. Cajun Bangkok (the name may have changed) in old town is good. Comperable to La Thai Cuisine in New Orleans. Also Teaism near the Navy memorial is good for lunch if you like Japanese influenced food.

Vidalia's in Georgetown, 1789, Cafe Atlantico, Marcel's


If you try to compare any of this to a city like New Orleans or NY you will be disappointed. DC is going the direction of the celebrity chef.
