It'll really depend on your behavior, not necessarily what you're wearing. Wear LSU stuff and, yes, some fans will get on you. Start acting like an arse and you'll feel the brunt of the entire section you're sitting in.

You will certainly get f*cked with for the entirety of the game, but so long as you aren't obnoxious, you should also survive intact.

I've had a friend sit there, and he said a few people gave him crap the whole game. But he said for the most part it wasn't that bad. It's just like any student section, you'll be watching the game, they'll be watching the game...it'll be fine

i have sat in their student section the last 2 times we played them away with my purple and gold on. you have your occasional dicks but it was not that bad. it could be because i was sitting with one of my best friends in their fraternity section though. i will tell you though it sure is sweet when you walk out of there with a win.

I've never sat in Bama's student section, but I have sat in the Ole Miss student section. I assume they are similar in their interactions with opposing fans. In the Ole Miss student section they had 3 guys in front of us that were total dicks who didn't give a shite about the game. We just kept our cool and ignored them as best we could. By halftime, pretty much all the Ole Miss students around us thought we were good guys for being so calm and they started taking up for us. Eventually the assholes got bored because we weren't showing any sign of irritation. That would be my advice for sitting in that section. Just keep your cool because pretty much no matter what you do, you're always going to be portrayed as the bad guy.

I sat in the Bama student section 4 years ago and am doing it again this year.... Its really not that bad, just show some respect and don't go over the top with your cheering. I had very little negative fan reaction until the very end and I just laughed it off... Don't sit there if you have a chip on your shoulder. I will be proudly wearing my purple and gold, just look for me.

I sat in the Bama student section last time we beat played them. It is no way near as bad as being an opponent in our section. People don't talk "smart trash". They say a lot, but don't feel bad about reminding them about the facts (they lost to Utah and screwed the SEC, they haven't TRULY done anything in a long time, and up-close, those Bear Bryant hat wearing girls are not as good looking as they look on TV)

I sat in the student section 2 years ago when LSU won a close game. As I walked up the stairs to my seat I was booed and flicked off by about 1/3 of the people there (this just made me laugh). Some rednecks were yelling at me periodically throughout the game (nothing too insulting - of course I got a few "F*g" and "F*** you"s yelled my direction). What pissed me off was a ocuple of guys that would throw ice and crap on me when I would cheer for something. I was being very respectful in my opinion (I kind of had to be since it was just me and a friend from Bama). So what I took away is that a few people around you will probably be huge assholes. If you have a couple of friends to go with it will be more enjoyable though.
I recommend doing it once, it was quite the experience. I am going back this year but one LSU game in the Bma student section was enough for me.
