Alem, offsides, again, again, and again...

The defense played great against Florida, more than well enought to win. But, really, how hard is it to look down the line to the ball and line up behind it? If you do it one time, you learn from it and remember to check yourself. After that it's "wtf"!

It appeared it had to do with Pouncey's head motion. When they blew him up at the beginning of the second half for it, he stopped and no more offsides.

He was more worried about pumping up the crowd then lining up onsides.

moving his head had nothing to do with rahim LINING UP offsides several times.

I think it had more to do with Urban working the refs than anything else. He clearly told them to look for it.

Which is what he should be doing.

If I was Miles, he'd still be running wind sprints.

And if Alem is smart/mature enough to line up properly then there's nothing for the refs to see, now is there?

Early in the game, did it seem like other than FL's center, the rest of their O-line was not up to the line. From the beginning, I kept saying how can they be allowed to set, off of the line like that? It looked like an arrow the way they were setting early in the game. Could that have been a factor? If the defense was lining up based on space, it would be easy to get caught lining up off-sides.

I thought it was strange that Tracy Wolfson reported early in the second quarter that both Miles and Chavis was complaining about the center moving his head and that they told their line to hit him everytime he did it. Yet, the line did not until Downs started in the second half on Florida's first two plays and did what he was told to do. I kept screaming everytime the center did that(after the report) to hit him and they didn't
Also, since when does a defender have to contact the center before they call it false start?

The head slinging was easy to spot and was aggrivating me too. The penalties would have been much better served if they had knocked him on his butt a few times.
The way the o-line was lining up was a bit more subtle, but I think contributed to the lining up off sides.

An interior D lineman should be waiting on ball movement to go, not the center's head. The defenders were displaying some terrible discipline in those situations.

the bad thing is, even with him lining up a yard off sides, he still wasn't getting any pressure on the QB

poor Al Woods get no credit. first Dandy confuses him with Alem, than Danielson calls him Josh Downs.

This. He lined up offsides several times during the game that weren't even called.

Poor Al Woods he still doesn't get the DT position.
