WHY do Miles and Crowton insist on running to the short side of the field?

They use the speed of T Holliday, K Williams, and R Shepard to the short side of the field way too often. It makes no sense. Anyone have a good reason?

Also, JJ needs to learn to run the option better. He always pitches the ball too late or behind the running back.

I talked with several people today and the short side of the field comment came up in everyone of the conversations..

Miles actually explained this today. See quotes from today.

Holiday scored on a short side option.

Many teams and coaches run to the short side the field.
