He looks good, but he's twice the size of the guys trying to block him. He gets good penetration, but the competition is mediocre. He'll be a project.

Anyone know what classification he plays in?

How did he look at this summer's LSU camp where there were a lot of large bodies to go against?

According to Miles, he must have done pretty well.

If he plays in 5A then we should get some better film to judge him off of during the season.

Yeah but he shows good tools to work with. He's very quick off the line. The question will be if he can keep that quickness when he adds weight to play inside instead of on the edge. But I doubt Selma has a very good weight program so he is far from reaching his potential physically, which gives him a pretty high ceiling as a football player.

There is no film in Selma.

Who gives a shite what his competition was? That will have nothing to do with what he does in college.

Guys like Will Blackwell were supposedly great in HS against top competition, but had to move to the OL.

No one knows because everyone was wearing shorts and tees. Unfortunately LSU didn't recruit him for flag football.

According to some of the people who actually attended the camp said he was giving lots of quality linemen a hard time.

This includes guys like 4-5 star Damien Robinson, etc.

His film is not that impressive. Actually his recruitment is kind of a head scratcher based on film. He must have really shined at the camp.

Funny, there were some questions about Morris Claiborne last year who had no ratings on two of the services for a long time (Rivals and Scouts). Only ESPN got it right as he just missed out of being in their Top 150. As long as Miles and the staff has seen the guy in camp, they get paid very well to evaluate talent. I seriously, seriously doubt the guy is a "project" and funny how Morris Claiborne for example is probably is going to end up being one the 7 or 8 best players in the 2009 class. Trust the recruiting services or the LSU coaches...your choice. I know who I trust more!

+1

I think what gives fans confidence is knowing that big time schools are recruiting the same players.

But there are always diamonds in the rough
