Dudley Guice out of Northwestern State. Many draft sites don't even have him listed in their rankings. He is 6'2" 210, ran a 4.37 and 4.40 at his pro day, and was a finalist for the Academic Heisman. He said in an interview with KFFL that the Saints, Dolphins, Jaguars, Falcons, Browns and Colts are among the teams that have shown the most interest in him.

A bit of a homer suggestion here, but Mike Wallace from Ole Miss would be a great second day pickup. He ran a 4.33 40 at the combine.

THE NEXT COLSTON
quote:
The headliner for Cal Poly was WR Ramses Barden. The lanky wideout (6-6 1/4, 227 pounds) ran the 40 in 4.51 and 4.55 seconds and had a 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump and a 7.10 three-cone drill.

From that video his footwork/change of direction looks horrible. He kind of looks like a really skinny out of place tight end. He has good size and what seems to be decent hands just going off of that video.

do we really need "the next colston" considering we already have colston and arrington as our big possession receivers. just saying. but then again colston has had the injury bug and arrington is unproven so maybe we do?
i wouldn't mind another receiver tho. i definitely like mike wallace. he finished the season strong and had a good senior bowl. he's hella fast.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I love Colston I'm just hoping he is back in form next year especially if Lance Moore is not resigned. I would like to see how Arrington turns out though.

I've read attitude and head issues are a factor with Guice. Does have some mad skillz tho

WR is probably the deepest position in this year's draft. I like the Bird!

Just what we need, a shorter T.O. that drops more balls.
next.

I trust the late-round picks more than I trust the early-round picks. Weird.

refreshing, someone on this board who actually does some homework about possible draft prospects

Dudley is pretty good, but very raw. He's definitely a physically gifted dude though and would be worth a late round pick.

we are so deep at WR.. why is this even a consideration?

Because in the 6th and 7th round your less worried with needs and just trying to find diamonds in the rough or contributors.
No one thinks hey we need to solve our safety problem with that 7th round pick.
Plus the WR position, not as deep as most think it is.
Colston almost a lock to miss 4 games, Moore may not be here, Devrey is a 25-35 catch a year guy.
