Diddy's accused drug mule is alleged former Syracuse basketball player Brendan Paul.
Paul was arrested on cocaine and marijuana possessions charges in Miami around the same time Diddy's homes were raided by Homeland Security, per

I've been a Syracuse fan for decades. I don't remember seeing this dude ever set foot on the court. His basketball career is on par with his drug mule career.

Wasn't one of his alleged rape victims also a Syracuse student at the time? He is from NY, maybe Diddy's a fan? My bet is maybe he was at a game and this scrub end-of-the bench player was star struck when he met him and Diddy took advantage of his fanboyism and the kid was willing to do whatever it took to be part of his crew, even if he's just a drug runner. Had no basketball prospects beyond college so it was probably easier for Diddy to persuade him with monetary promises compared to his teammates as well
