How do you pronounce: “Bigeaux?”

As in “Lake Bigeaux” in the Atchafalaya Basin.
Ive heard it several ways.
1. “bee-zhjou” (almost like bee-shoe)
2. “bee-zhjoh” (almost like bee-show)
3. “bee-go”
4. “big-go”
I also found this incredibly odd pronunciation on Google…
Sounds like “bi-jose”
What do you local baws call that skinny strip of swamp?

Coonasses are doing just fine, it’s the coonass wannabe that butchers it
We’re Also 400+ years removed from France and we’ve retained 80% of the language almost perfectly, I’d say that’s quite impressive.
