Having hollow points would be worse for Kyle and indicate some kind of premeditation. Hollow points are a bullet of choice for doing damage.

The bullets Kyle had in the gun are better for his defense case.

Did they seriously ask that? Again sarcasm hard to detect these days, but I’m looking at my DVD shelf right now, and boy would these idiots have a field day with the action/war section.

Real question, is that a communist flag pin on the prosecutors lapel?

No it’s the symbol of the Rebel Alliance, which this prosecutor is a fricking tard for wearing it.

Judge def. shoots.

Called out that a hollow point can travel to a secondary target and not a sole characteristic of a FMJ.

Why bring up hollow points? He wasn’t using them was he? If so that means he was using slight restraint.

This has to be the dumbest prosecution I’ve ever seen. Maybe it was a good thing for Kyle to take the stand since I’m sure this prosecutor is merely pissing off the jury.

The prosecutor would need to call an expert witness to establish that. He’s trying to get by with testifying about it himself and getting the witness to agree with him. The judge isn’t going to allow that.

I don't have a strong opinion either way on the other two, but think he'll be acquitted on both.

Don't take my lack of sympathy for Kyle as thinking he's guilty of murder.

This is your bogus ideology shining right through.

Akchully hollow points and similar munitions are prohibited from use by militaries in combat and it would by definition be a war crime to do so.

Use by law enforcement, or by militaries against nom military combatants, eg terrorists is allowed. But militaries cannot use modified ammo in combat against other uniformed militaries.

No. Lunch break

I think the exchange with the judge after lunch before the jury is brought in could be interesting.

this prosecutor is a complete idiot!!! Hollow point rounds were banned from warfare in 1899 bc of how much more deadly they are. They are designed to expend all of their energy in the first couple of inches after penetration, expand out, and cause as much damage as possible!!

The military like the FMJ round better bc the are cheaper to produce, and more likely to injure than the hollow point. From a military strategy standpoint one dead person takes only one person out of the fight. One injured person can take multiple people out of the fight bc others have to help him.
