Why don't Louisiana-Lafayette fans support their team?

Only college game on, great night outside, 7-1 team with a coach leaving for better things very soon. What gives?

My guess is most ULL fans want to stay home and watch this barn burner of a NFL game

Finally somebody spoke up. Stands are half empty. Is this a conference game?

It’s a good thing they keep expanding the stadium. Those 8000 fans look good

Plus ULL fans mostly work at night

Where is their head coach going? They just got stuffed on a 4th and 2 by a 4-4 team. Is the job at S.Miss open?

It's Thursday night baw. People got work and school tomorrow, the out of town crowds don't come in. UL has only played 2 Saturday home games thus far to the season. The 2 Saturday games averaged over 27,000. The Tuesday and Thursday games averaged about 18,500.

That is the weakest excuse. App St had 31k on a Wednesday this year. Boone is the 49th largest city in NC...

Stadium being half empty just makes it a normal night in Tiger Stadium after half

there weren't that many ULL fans at the new beautiful new USA stadium earlier this year

a little rain never hurt no one

If our kicker hadn't gone full Ray Finkle mode we win that one.

I wasn't super impressed with the Cajuns at all.

Good for them. App State built up a pretty loyal fan base through the FCS championship years and they usually turn out pretty well. They also faced the #14 team in the country. That certainly helps draw a crowd doesn't it?

I can go back to 2019 (last year was limited capacity) and App State was 7-0 ranked #20 in the country and they only had 18,800 turn out for a Thursday game vs 4-3 Georgia Southern.

ULs fan base could and should do better. No doubt. But don't be obtuse and act like weeknight games don't impact attendance. You certainly lose a chunk of fans who aren't going to turn out on a work/school night
