re: Why isn’t Clyde the glide not getting the carries for the Chiefs?

He was a first round draft pick. If you take a RB in the first round it better be an all-world RB.
Even if they are all world, it’s still a poor allocation of resources

I used to get killed on here for saying he’s just an average running back, he’s not even that right now, Williams is clearly better. Honestly he benefited from being in an all world offense but it’s obvious Burrow, Chase, and Jefferson were the studs. At some point you can’t play the weaker player just because he was a high draft pick when he’s healthy.

He’s a complete bust, like all LSU RBs in the league

Darrel Williams has looked more impressive TBH.

Dude is quick but lacks power and actual speed. Got no problems having him as a third down/situational change of pace ya get in the 5ish round, but a first round pick, hell no!

Really? He just went 21 for 62 and 2 TDs. The 2 TDs were nice but that’s less than 3 YPC. If you take away his last game he was 26 for 99 and 2 TDs.
Other than the TDs, how has he been more impressive?

I can’t remember what I called him that brought me so much hate at the time
But imma go with poor man’s Brian Westbrook tonight

They shouldn’t have drafted him in the first but he’s not a bust. He was coming off back to back 100 yard games before he got hurt.
Looking back at the 2020 2nd round there’s not a ton of guys that in hindsight they should have taken. Although I’m sure they’d love to have someone like Trevon Diggs with how their D has played but he lasted to the 50s.

So he’s Alvin Kamara?

As a die hard Chiefs and LSU fan I am biased. I’ve watched his entire career, even some high school games. I don’t regret the Chiefs drafting him at all. Mahomes actually told the GM he wanted him for the offense. Obvious the thing that stands out this year was his back to back fumble games. That never happens with him and I’m sure it will be corrected. Secondly, he hyperextended his MCL and is on IR. The Chiefs have 5 new OL this year starting. It’s gonna take a min for everyone to groove. Schedule hasn’t been ideal to get tune up games either. (Bills, Ravens, Chargers, Browns, Eagles). I think he will get going again, and the Chiefs need him and all their RBs by committee to have success the way each team defends the chiefs now. Cover 2, nothing deep, double Kelce and Hill…so they are carving up the short field and getting to the redzone and turning it over. Run game will soften the zone and force defenses to come up. Just a matter of time. Don’t sleep on CEH or the Chiefs. Season is young.

This is an idiotic statement. The dude killed it last year as a rookie and now he got dinged up a bit so now y’all are saying he is a bust?? Lol.

Do Alabama fans always spout stupid bullshite like you all of the time? Or is it just on this board?

I would insult you, but as a tide fan you wouldn’t understand it.

Not a good fit for the Chiefs style of offense. Not as elusive as he was in college. Vision doesn’t seem very good. And he can’t run N/S.

I was a CEH fan coming out of college but his pro career has been really underwhelming so far.
That isnt taking into account his receiving either. People that think that’s underwhelming were simply expecting too much

I thought that he's looked good when I've seen him. He was a beast in 2019, especially against us.
The injury this season, and last season both looked really brutal. I'm impressed that he didn't get seriously injured on both of those plays. Dude is made out of rubber.
