re: Jack Reacher the movies

I think it's in the same vein as when comic book characters are changed from current look/perception.

A current, modern comic sells about 100k issues with a first issue for a run, then if they're huge they may stay in the 80k range; for your non-Batman, non-Spider-Man series, that number is much lower.

There are times when the depiction in the "other" media works and times it doesn't. Spider-Man had organic web shooters at the same time that Tobey's movies came out, so he got organic. They went away from those, so Andrew and Tom got technological shooters.

I'm not saying I agree/disagree with Reacher's physical stature being different, but sometimes you drop one for the other.

Do you feel there's an actor who, at the time of the shooting, would have better fit Reacher's physical stature AND was a good enough actor to pull it off?
