Walk On's restaurant...

...Is anyone in Baton Rouge familiar with this place, and if so, how's the food and atmosphere? Thanks!

Its a decent place. I would go to Chimes over Walk-Ons, basically the same type of food but Chimes is def better (way better beer selection also). Walk-Ons does have hotter waitresses/bartenders though. If you are gonna go watch a game, Walk-Ons is the better choice (more tvs, bigger bar area)

As the last person said, its very much like Chimes. Louisiana type food (Alligator, Boudin Balls, seafood), and then they have hamburgers and sandwiches and stuff.
I give Walk On's a little bit of an edge over Chimes if you aren't looking for a huge beer selection because Walk On's has good drink specials almost every night and the atmosphere is much more lively than Chimes.

Wow, if someone would rather eat at Chimes than Walk On's that tells me how miserable a place Walk On's must be.

FWIW, the brie and crab soup is much better than I expected at walk-on's.
I wouldn't agree that the brie and crab soup is good. It's so salty that you can hardly eat it.
I'll take Chimes any day. Never ever had a bad meal there!!!

chimes is alright. never had anything bad or spectacular. walk ons is overpriced but good atmosphere. i would rather go to some other places.

Am I missing some kind of joke here? I have heard quite a bit of good stuff about the Chimes. Are you telling me there is actually a close race between there and Walk On's?

Chimes has better food and better beer selection. Walk On's is a much better place to watch a game.

most people in BR rag on walk-ons a good bit....but it is what it is....bar food in a good atmosphere. I'm not all that wild about the chimes at all....but it too has a decent atmosphere. I prefer walk-ons for big groups and the patio.

Other than the nice bewbs to look at, Walk On's pretty much sucks. Yes it is definitely bar food, except it's way over priced bar food. If you can pick between the two, steer clear of Walk On's.

i've eaten at the walk on's on coursey a number of times since they've opened .. i think they're doing a great job with it .. you hit the nail on the head, it is what it is .. if you are comparing it to juban's or commanders .. no, it isn't going to win .. but i think the chimes is a very fair comparison and i can tell you, the chimes is starting to feel walk ons down the street from them .. the chimes lot is not as packed as it used to be and walk ons lot is pretty steady ..
i have always found the chimes to be one of the most overrated places to eat in BR .. the food is incredibly average .. the only thing really good there to me is the brunch and the awesome beer selection on tap ..

Everybody is saying it is a better place to watch a game. Beware that this is only for lsu and saints games if you are someone from out of town and looking for the nfl gameday package. I went there with a friend who is a steelers fan for the first week of football and the manager did not know what he was doing with the game package. They couldn't find the game (took 30 minutes) and then finally got it on and kept changing channels. Plus out of all the tvs they have in there they were not showing half of the games.
If you are looking for nfl gameday definitly go to pluckers they have their stuff together. Every game on and every tv is marked with what game it will be showing.

Hooters on Siegen has the NFL package under control like that also. TV's marked so you know where to sit for the game you want to watch

Maybe I just lucky and had a good batch? I've only been there once and was skeptical about trying it, but was pleasantly surprised.
Possible you had a "good" batch. I've tried it on three different occasions and I've finally given up on it.

i wouldn't got there for NFL sundays .. actually .. jones creek cafe or the end zone are really good places to watch all the games ..

the chimes isn't "printing money" .. that fricking parking lot is only full on friday and saturday nights now .. when it first opened that place was packed EVERY night .. if walk-ons isn't getting that business then someone else is ... you can't live on this side of town and not notice that ..
