I stumbled across this guy's YouTube recordings, who covers most, if not all of Iron Maiden's music in classical arrangements. A band I have never deliberately listened to. But he is one of the best guitarists I've ever seen/heard. Thomas Zwijsen

YCAGWYW - (LSU and Saints Wins!)

Many people think they wrote this, but hard a it is to believe, it is a cover of very mild song by Bonnie Dobson.

GD Morning Dew
Best ever cover of "Morning Dew", from a San Antonio bar band in 1968, the flip side of their only single:

I think I like all the Ramones covers, but Time Has Come Today is probably my favorite.

Here are two covers of 2000's-era electropop that really make the beauty of the songs shine in a way that the originals did not, in my opinion.

Iron & Wine - "Such Great Heights" (Postal Service cover)

Jose Gonzalez - "Heartbeats" (The Knife cover)

And, as a bonus, a cover of an older song that I think accomplishes the same thing:

The Youth Group - "Forever Young" (Alphaville cover)
