It is ironic that the majority of the rant was so sure Max was the starter before Brennan’s injury and now those same people are counting down the days until Brennan is back

I suspect Brennan knew the O-line was in trouble and so was he. After 2020 injury, decided self breaking arm was best option.

Yes, joshing.

Consider the source.

We desperately need Brennan by mid season.

Who cares? This board spent the last 51 weeks assuring me that Brennan sucked and that Finley and Johnson were better in every way.

I didn’t, I got banned for saying MJ sucked.

I think Myles is a little ahead of schedule and it wouldn’t shock me if he was ready to go by the Kentucky game which I think could be a huge game in our season because it screams trap game. Kentucky has a very good OL and they play smash mouth football. If Max is still not performing like we need him to I could see Myles getting the start for Kentucky. I’ve always been a Max fan but Myles has way more experience even though he actually hasn’t started that many games. He’s confident pushing the ball down the field and that is what our offense needs badly.

Thank you. This board was shitting all of Brennan last year when he was quarterback calling for the 2 freshman. Now hes our savior

Speak for yourself. There were a contingent of loudmouth on here that wanted Max to start and were sure be would like they were sure Canada should have been the OC and that Pelini should have been the next DC, or that Aranda wasn't a good DC. With that said, the rest of us, outside the bubble of the retarded Louisiana sports media, was sure that it was Brennan's job.

Our Oline is hot garbage and unless that improves, it doesnt matter who the qb is.
Brennan's quick release gets the ball out faster. Brennan's stronger arm puts the defense on alert for the deep pass. The OL is trash, but there are things that others can do (including play calling) that can work around it a bit.

No one, an I mean no one save for the braindead announcers of the USCe game said this

Well this is flat out false. You had a large number on TD saying that Finley should remain the starter, even if Myles came back last season.

He has the better arm for sure and I’d imagine he could pick up the blitz better and maybe call out of it more. This board made Max sound like Steve Young all off-season with how accurate and mobile he was yet we never saw it. He stood there in concrete taking hits.

Anybody think we beat UCLA win Brennan? I kinda do

So you think UCLA couldn't have scored another 14 points if pressed ? Those crossing routes were wide open all night, they scored what they had to without taking risks of blowing the lead.
We may have scored a few more points but in no way would a QB change effect our incompetencies on defense.

And as usual, Jordy Culotta was leading, waving the bandwagon flag.

Brennan does NOT weigh 250lbs. I assure you.
Like anyone else, when physical activity comes to an abrupt end you are going to put on some weight. Brennan right now is 6’43/4” and weighs 230 lbs. that’s certainly is not out of line and he is now working out every day with a personal trainer and physical therapist. He will be just fine.

But like 2020, can he play defensive back too?

I have one source that says this surgery thing is not entirely true. Yes, surgery, but it is trans surgery. Apparently he identifies as female now, is getting the surgery and plans to become the first trans college football QB under the name "Mylie Brennan".

I lean towards yes. Even though the defense was deep fried arse we only needed a few more big passes and I think he delivers.

I think Brennan delivers and in the process, opens the run game up, if only a little bit.

It’s a pretty good bet that we would’ve won the game with Brennan in there. Last season with Brennan we averaged over 38ppg and even against Missouri when we could only muster 49 yards rushing he put up 41 despite playing with a career threatening injury for over half that game. Brennan punished blitzing defenses like UCLA severely and was top 3 in the nation in downfield passing so it stands to reason hedve hit a lot of those big plays Max couldn’t. He also had a much better command of the offense and could’ve checked into better plays. If you go back and watch that game we were running into 8-9 man boxes and throwing into coverage heavy looks because Max couldn’t counter with checks. There’s a big drop off between the two players in ways a lot of our fans can’t see or won’t admit.

Thanks for the update but I was hoping he would be ready long before that. There are only 4 games left after the bye week. I was thinking he might be ready by Auburn.
