Has anyone asked Coach O on the progress of Brennan?

Next week will be 7 weeks since his surgery.

Since he was on the field during pregame last week (not in uniform) throwing passes, you could assume he could start practicing, albeit limited to start, very soon.

Brennan is participating at every level except full contact. He is still in the middle of his physical therapy but is attending all meetings and practice every day. the original prognosis was 3 months recovery. He is ahead of schedule and is hoping to be ready during the bye week.

He has a quicker release and stronger arm.

We may have taken more sacks but the passing game would have been much better and I believe we win with him by at least 2 scores.

Max has limited down field passing so teams don’t have to worry about anything deep.

Who cares? This board spent the last 51 weeks assuring me that Brennan sucked and that Finley and Johnson were better in every way.

I lean towards yes. Even though the defense was deep fried arse we only needed a few more big passes and I think he delivers.

Hell all it would have taken was to hit Palmer for the easy TD and not manage to throw a pick over 6’7 TE.

He missed Palmer 2x for TDs and it only netted us 3 points.

You get those 2 TDs and we are up at halftime 21-14 and going for the kill on the 2nd half opening drive.

Right. I was thinking of the one where 33 was all by himself in the middle of the field with no deep safety and Max just Brandon Harris’ed it into the ground.

ETA: I feel like Max is trying to throw it too hard. He had much more touch in the UF/OM games. Maybe he was trying to compete with Brennan’s arm strength and got away from his game.

That pass at Palmer’s feet would have immediately responded to the slowest TD catch and run of all time by the UCLA TE.

It would have been a huge mental reply to UCLA’s TD.

Those same guys now want Nussmeier in and Max benched, so disregard the Rantards.

No one, an I mean no one save for the braindead announcers of the USCe game said this.

As for Max, there was the thought that his mobility might provide an advantage, but that seems to have been very overblown.

This has to be by design since we only have 2 healthy scholarship QBs and it’s early in the season.

Which is in and of itself a mistake. Better to have 100% Max and risk having to go to Nuss than it is to hamstring yourself with 75% Max.

I still don’t think he’s anything special with his legs though.

Thank you. This board was shitting all of Brennan last year when he was quarterback calling for the 2 freshman. Now hes our savior

Our Oline is hot garbage and unless that improves, it doesnt matter who the qb is.

No they were not.

Before he was hurt, Brennan had 1,112 yards on 60% passing with an 11/3 TD/INT ratio in his first true FT action of his LSU career. Compare that to what Burrow did in the first 3 games of 2018.

Our defense let us down in those 2 games vs MSU and Mizzou.

Thanks for update. We need Myles to save this season. Having him available completely changes the play calling for Max since they don’t have to limit runs and also gives you a deep passing game teams have to prepare for. I think Brennan is starting by the end of this season.

Not with our defense that night. LSU would have probably scored another TD with Brennan, but still lost.

Finley had his moments last season but he had really bad games as well.
