Its only a coinflip because of Saban.
Before Saban LSU hated Auburn much more...enter Saban, and corndog jealousy and ignorance and now Bama is at the top of LSU's most hated team list.
Our game means everything to you, you cannot lose to Saban...but in reality, you are third best on our schedule behind Auburn and UT. The "care" factor is one sided.

no it's because they are both SEC west rivals in every sport, especially football, and they are good at it, and their fans talk a lot of trash. thats why we are rivals. not saban dude.

I paid way too much for a Bama ticket this year and THE biggest reason was to see Saban's return to TS and be on the visitors' side.

alabama and by alot. even before saban. Just something about the bammers pisses me off.
I hate aubarn the game week and then if we lose i hate them for a long arse time but with bama it never goes away.

Neither.
I have a hell of a lot of respect for both programs. I bleed purple and gold but I love watching well coached and talented teams in the SEC week in and week out.
I love all schools in the SEC, but of course there's one that I love the most!

For me, it's always Bama. I'm 41 and I can remember when we were seemingly always second to them, and always lost to them at home. However, if I were in my 20s today (or maybe early 30s), it would probably be Auburn, because the games have been more significant and the rivalry has gotten very nasty.

I didn't read any of this thread, but this week I hate AU the most of any other school. (from a football perspective)

ive to both road games the last 10 yrs. Bama fans for the most part are n ice people... AU sux their fans suck, assholes, bunch of pricks. I love both trips, but for me its au.

Auburn by far. I am not a fan of Alabama but being aroung their fans is usually a lot more pleasant whether here or there.
Also I have a lot of friends who are Alabama fans, so its more of a friendly rivalry with them.
