Semi auto for 13 y/o daughter

Hello
I want to shoot some skeet with my 13 y/o daughter. Need a person to launch the birds anyway at the range and figured she might like to join in the fun.
She is average size.
Should I look into a cheap 20 ga (not sure there even is such a thing anymore). I've heard good things about Retay.
I do have a spare plane jane Charles Daly 12 ga (was a DU raffle gun) and wondering if I get a smaller stock and ran lighter loads if that would suffice.
I want her to enjoy the experience and not get put off by the kick of a 12 gauge is my thoughts.
TIA for any advice.

Browning Micro or normal Silver Hunter in 20ga.
** soft recoil and enjoyable to shoot. If she grows out of
it its still a great gun for small game and doves.
Plus she can always grow into 12ga you have.

My 13 yr old shoots a Franchi affinity compact with all the spacers out. It’s a light and balanced gun made by benelli.

My 11 year old is small and shoots a weatherby sa-08 youth model 20 gauge. I like the few of it but it doesn’t always cycle the light loads and there is a piston you have to change when your shoot heavy vs light loads
Bought the wife the franchi affinity compact last year and the action is like butter It’s a sweet gun. I will probably be buying a second soon

Most I have seen are out of my price range for this experiment.
If she ends up heading to the olympic team I'll look into an O/U.
I shoot a Beretta Parallel target and promised myself I would get an O/U when I shot a perfect 25 round for the first time.
Still working on it.

A 1 oz load 20g in a lighter semi action vs a 1 oz load 12g in heavier 12g semi
The 20g will have a sharper recoil than the 12 due to the weight of the guns.
If she can effectively hold and swing the 12, let her try it before getting a 20g.

Got my wife this gun a few years ago, I ended up going back for the 12 gauge for me. It’s a great duck gun.

My son started at 11 with the Mossberg SA-20 Bantam two years ago which is 99% the same gun. It has been reliable enough for a $500 shotgun and recoil was never an issue with the right shotshells.
Keep in mind, you might want to avoid the synthetic stocks because they don't shorten in length of pull very well and buying a adult stock for any of these Turkish shotguns is a challenge.
