I didn't say he's a celebrity. I said he's not a rando in town. I don't know him personally, so I'm by no means going to vouch for him (though on a personal level, I'm inclined to believe that at a minimum, he was called the N word). But I'm telling you that there are well connected people in town who are going to take him at his word unless proven otherwise.
In short, not that the people who run the Chimes give a shite about my opinion, but it's my opinion that if the Chimes has evidence to contradict his claims, they should come out with it, quickly.

If he is claiming that something outrageous took place, then the burden of proof should be on him.
Business owners and operators should not have to divert any resources from the operation of their business to address such accusations unless they are shown to be factual.

This is a shite opinion. They'll probably see more business from people who are sick of this bullshite. Also, how on earth can they prove a customer didnt say something? The whole idea of Chimes providing evidence is so fricking stupid.

His twitter feed is full of sympathetic posts. Imagine being so soft that you won’t go to a restaurant any longer because someone you hardly know claims this incident happened.
