Yeah like I said, it is definitely not all about play but presence.
I think the FO is...less than impressed with Ball's lockerroom and on court presence beyond just statistics, and I think that is what they are digging for.

Haven't heard anything regarding the locker room. Idk.
Pels have also gotten burned twice bringing on the culture/leadership vet that unabashedly poisons the well for our young guys/core

Pelicans need a PG that knows what to do in close game situations. I can't ever see Lonzo bringing the ball up in a tie game with 10 seconds left and being clutch. He's a secondary ball handler with an inconsistent shot. Zion may like him, but he'll like the guy that helps him win a lot more. If that guy is Lowry, fine. If it's Sexton or Brogdon, ok. But I know it's not Lonzo. He can be a good player somewhere else but we need a guard that isn't afraid to take the last shot with a game on the line
