Heading to Detroit for work next week

Assuming I don't immediately get murdered I am going to go check out the Detroit Masonic Temple.
Building Link
In April 2013, the building was reported to be in foreclosure over $152,000 in back taxes owed to Wayne County. The debt was paid off in May 2013, and in June 2013, it was revealed that $142,000 of the bill was footed by singer-songwriter Jack White, a Detroit native known for his work with The White Stripes. He wanted to help the temple in its time of need as they had helped his mother in a time of need: the temple gave her a job as an usher in the theater when she was struggling to find work. In response, the Detroit Masonic Temple Association renamed its Scottish Rite cathedral the Jack White Theater.
George Mason's unique design included three theaters (one was never completed, but is sometimes used by movie-production crews), a Shrine building, the Chapel, eight lodge rooms, a 17,500 square foot drill hall, two ballrooms, office space, a cafeteria, dining rooms, a barber shop, 16 bowling lanes--1037 rooms in total--in addition to a powerhouse that generated all electricity for the complex.

Head on a swivel, baw.

He couldn't come off the other $10k with his net worth? Who paid the rest?

Best piece of advice right here. I would just add that you need to rope-a-dope. For example, if you need a laptop then put it in a backpack instead of a computer case bag. No flashy watch or wedding ring etc.

I enjoyed downtown Detroit.

Detroit is likely safer than South Louisiana at the moment.
Don’t forget to try a Detroit style pizza.

There are two good places to go in Detroit… downtown or the subs…… if you go outside of downtown you will get real depressed at what you see or get shot….there are places outside of diwntown Detroit that the cops refuse to go to… it’s not as bad as Chicago, but…..

Detroit had to be a truly incredible city prior to the 1950's.
Was the wealthiest city in the world, hence buildings like this being constructed.
