two best teams in the country right now:

usc and oklahoma.

odds of them both making the mnc (cause of no playoff system):

20%

Saying that 7 of the remaining 10 teams lost yesterday that remains on USCs schedule, saying they will run the table is not a bold prediction there. Arizona State lost to UNLV, that was a shocker.

Only problem I have with the sucking up to USC right now is that I said for weeks USC would beat the dog shite out of OSU because OSU is the most overrated program, and in the most overrated conference, for the past 40 years at least. Everyone knew OSU sucked and that they'd get slaughtered, so why the shock and surprise from the pundits? If it were up to ESPN, they'd give the Trojans the title now since they steamrolled over their beloved Suckeyes

I hate to say it, but I believe you are right. USC vs OU.......neither of those two teams will lose a game, and the SEC champion will come out with at least one loss.....if that's the case, then the Pac-10 vs Big XII in Miami this year.....looks like another snoozer like 2005 BCS matchup (2004 season) when USC hammered OU

Anyone that says USC is overrated is on drugs. They are a damn good team, the best in the country right now. I'm not ready to call them NChamps just yet, but they are a complete team. Also Georgia will lose 3 games this season. Book it.

its about time that sec fans agree that the trojans play a good schedule, even though louisiana tech would murder osu , they still have a tough road ahead

...or a rantard.

With that being said, it is not all that common for teams to go undefeated.

I agree with the OP that USC looks to be the class of CFB this year, but dont forget how dominate LSU looked after two games last season.

Its wayyy too early to crown anyone anything.

USC "looks" like the best team in the country right now. The frustrating part is no matter what Pac 10 fans say, playing in the Pac 10 is weak and USC will be a double digit favorite all year.

Does anyone honestly think USC would be a double digit favorite in the SEC and pretty much be penciled into the BCS game already? Hell no. If USC had to play UGA, UF, LSU (at least 1-2 of those away in either the Swamp, TS, or Athens) AND the SECCG, no one would be stamping their ticket to Miami right now with one OC win.

True. Despite what most believe, it used to be more common in the SEC than in the PAC 10.

Undefeated seasons from 1978-1991:
ACC: 9
Big 8: 13
Big 10: 7
Pac-10: 4
SEC: 10

SWC: 6

from 1992-1997:
ACC: 5
Big East: 2
Big 8/12: 4
Big 10: 4
Pac-10: 1
SEC: 3

SWC: 4

Note: in 1996, the Big 8 and SWC merged to form the Big 12.

I agree that USC has a talented football team but a lot of teams in the SEC also have talented football teams.

USC is officially off until January and I think that is bullshite. If strength of schedule was part of the BCS they would have to step up and start scheduling real opponents or they couldn;t make it to the game.

If they had to play in the SEC week in and week out I promise you they would not look as good as they do right now.

Their schedule is a joke.

Oklahoma is looking pretty stout this year as well. I know they've been choking every year, but this could end soon. Plus, Chase Daniel and Mizzou may pull something out. So far the SEC isn't blazing any trails out of the gait. We'll get better though.

If they $C & Oklahoma go undefeated and we happen to do the same, LSU will be left on the outside of the NC picture.

This and listening to the boys at ESPN....

Just remember the game is in January.. not September.

Not many teams schedule the likes of their OOC opponents. ND and Nebraska were busts last year- OSU this year but a far cry from the likes of W. Kentucky, Troy, N. Texas, etc.

USC does look for real, but damn, they played Ohio State. Without Beanie Wells. Let's wait it out.

And I dont see any way that LSU would get left out if they go undefeated and Okl and USC do also. They changed the rules of the BCS after Auburn was left out to make sure that shite didn't happen again, and so that the voters could have the power to overrule the computers. LSU would get in. There is no way they would leave an undefeated defending champ out of the game.

No, they changed the rules after $C was left out. Auburn got screwed in 2004.

The only down side to LSU winning the championship last year is that it opened the door for all 2 loss teams to go to the championship game. So even if usc has 2 loses, usctv (espn/abc) will still have them in the championship game.
