Wife and I found some cheap flights and decided to jump on it. We’ve both never been. Flying into Denver. Not on a big budget. Mostly just wanna take in the mountains. What are some places we can’t miss? Thanks for the help

Golden Gate Canyon State Park is near Golden and has some good hiking and views of the mountains.

What experiences are y’all looking for?
Tip...rent an AWD vehicle. You’ll likely need it.

Try Routes for a rental car. They are new to Denver and a friend just flew in and their rates were half of everyone else. He got a 4 door Jeep Sahara 4x4 for #55/day.

Drive to Boulder and walk around/hike. When you're in Boulder, have dinner (or lunch) at The West End Tavern.

I would just go to Estes park and spend a couple days driving/hiking in Rocky Mountain national park. Mid October is a wonderful time to do it. Less crowded, fall colors. May snow on you but snow pack would only be an issue at the highest points
