Bought a Speedmaster Moonwatch last week and I’m in love with it.
Did you get the latest version? I want to put my hands on one of those.

I have the same watch and I wear it almost all the time. I bought mine at an AD in April 2017. I can't think of anything to complain about. Is the one you're looking at new? If so, it should have a 5 year Omega warranty.

Yes. Safire Crystal with the new bracelet. I tried on both and the old one feels twice as heavy.

“Worth it” is relative. Very few multi-thousand dollar watches are “worth it”. But if it is your dream watch then it is worth it to you. You can probably get that one on the gray market between $3k and $4k.
It’s not my favorite Seamaster, but probably the most popular. I have the 300 (1957 re-issue/upgrade; co-axial movement). It was by no means a “necessity” but getting it meant something to me. That’s all that really matters.
If you are going to spend that much make sure you get the watch YOU like, not one you hope others will like

Is that “8” the number of steps you’ve taken? Great idea to put it right there instead of having to shake your watch awake or tap the face to see the time, steps, etc.
Buy it!
Buy it!

You asked if it was worth it. To know how to answer, you have to tell him what price you were getting.
$3400? Hard pass for me.

The Seamaster you’re looking for is spelled Speedmaster.

Is. Fine looking watch but putting it on a Hobo with dick cheese will offset its fine qualities….. How did you pick such a user ID? . We gots to know!

If it's your dream watch, go for it.
I got mine in 2016.
Omega won't significantly lose it's value anytime soon, especially with box, papers, receipt.
I still have my Pops' '62 Seamaster and I wear it often.

If I bought an omega it would be the moon watch.
That sea master has a $500 movement in it. It also has the outdated looking bracelet.
I would much rather a Sub C Date with the glidelock clasp. The best diver.

I mean, ya but it’s 4x the price on the gray market. Impossible to get a retail from an AD.
I personally prefer the Planet Ocean 600.

First, the Seamster Pro 300M is your "dream watch". Cool it is an excellent watch.
The question that immediately comes to mind is if that specific reference is your dream watch. Forgive me for not verifying the reference number since going to the 14 digit reference I have few Omega numbers committed to memory. The watch you should is last generation and has a 2500 movement. Not a bad movement in the latter versions but pales in comparison to the 8800 used in the current 300M. Now the one you showed is 41mm vs the newest model which is 42mm and the new one is about .5mm thicker due primarily to the display back.
If you actually prefer this watch with the flat dial vs a wave dial along with the size and movement differences then go for it. I do think the price is a tad high but not robbery. You should be able to get the current version for about $800 more.
I prefer the newest version partly due to the return of the wave dial and mostly due to the 8800 movement. I can go into detail about the differences between the 2500 and 8800 movement if you are interested, they are quite significant.
Current reference (black dial version) with the 8800 movement:
Blue dial this is a catalog render and see how much a render loses compared to the in the steel shot above

This is the best piece of advice for the watch you asked about and for any others you may considering buying.
If you like it and have the expendable income -- buy it.
If you are looking for others to chime in with other watches in that ballpark that you think you'd like... ask that specific question to get those responses.
Personally, the watch you posted is a bit pricey for the movement you get. So I wouldn't buy it as a "dream watch". But as an accurate timepiece that wears well on the wrist, yeah, I'd wear it.
For the other question that you didn't specifically ask, for that price point (ok, a little bit more) I'd go with the Tudor Pelagos -- it gives you 70 hour reserve, a timeless Diver look, and the brand holds value a bit better.
All that said -- I have some $500 Seiko divers and some pretty expensive Rolex and Panerai pieces (and several others in between). I enjoy wearing them all because at various times they have become a part of shared experiences either through work or play. I don't invest in watches - but my kids know that they are heirlooms to be passed down to them. And each piece has been associated with specific things for my kids - I have a specific watch that I wear to every single baseball game my youngest has ever and ever will play, I have a different diver that I have worn on every single dive with my older son, and a different watch that I wear only when I travel over seas that my daughter always notices when she makes my cup of coffee before I leave for the airport. As I said, my watches have grown a different purpose than just keeping time.
Buy a watch that you will wear and enjoy whether anyone else notices it or not.
If you are buying a watch as an investment -- listen to Obtuse (listen to him about any watch purchase, but especially about investment watches).

The Invita Pro Diver looks like the Seamaster in the same way it looks like most any dive watch. The Pro Diver is designed to look almost exactly like the Submariner.

Just window shopping, I stopped at the Rolex store in the Galleria and the salesmen said that they were completely sold out of men watches and only had 4 women’s watches to display. Said he’s never seen anything like it. They sold 38 or their 40 delivered last week in 3 days.
People hoarding Rolexes as an inflation hedge. Probably not a bad idea actually.

OP was a semi drunk post so I guess what I really meant by “worth it” was is the Seamaster a quality watch and I have received the answers I sought. I trust the OT more than reviews, thanks for the info
