Probably because most people haven't been to that part of Italy.

I haven't personally been; however, a close friend and his wife had an amazing time touring the Dolomites, visiting Lake Garda.

That's what I figured but 22 days is a long time for Americans. Seems to me it could fit in.

Lakes, Tuscany, Amalfi would be a nice three weeks.
